Xeikon/Pouch Supervisor

• The Xeikon/Pouch Supervisor is an integral member of the leadership team, responsible for implementing
• and sustaining change, controlling inventory and material flow, meeting the needs of customers, and
• driving bottom line results. This role oversees staffing, production schedules, work assignments and
• priorities for both digital and pouch machine operations. The Xeikon/Pouch Supervisor is responsible for
• empowering team members to recognize and make improvements, while also leading department
• initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure all products manufactured meet customer expectations.
• Meet or exceed KPI’s directly related to Productivity, Scrap, Quality and Scheduled Hours
specific to digital printers and for scheduling of the digital printers.
• Drives continuous improvement of all processes while adhering to safety procedures.
• As orders received, provide expected completion dates with goal of meeting customer
requested dates for HTLM and pouches.
• Create and maintain production schedule and prioritize orders for production optimization.
• Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to
meet production schedule and customer expectations.
• Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.
• Interact with shop floor management daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing
efficiencies or additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Service and
• Review and approve timecards, conduct performance evaluations, and coach digital print and
pouch team members.
• Ensure training and development of employees within digital print department.
• Estimate staffing needs.
• Develop production schedules.
• Assign work and meet completion dates.
• Interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Coordinate resources across one or more shifts to ensure efficient operations while promoting a
team environment.
• Ensure work orders are released in ShotScope in a manner that provides ample visibility for all
planning and purchasing requirements.
• Ensure special notes on Work Orders as applicable to minimize any misses to customer needs.
• Assist with reviewing accuracy of Bill of Materials (BOM's).
• Examine orders to determine quantities to be printed, pail specifications, colors, or
special printing instructions. (Ensuring specification sheets are correct).
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment by collaborating
with production, maintenance, and vendors. This role is key in supporting OEE.
• May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency.

• Skill in for scheduling, procuring raw materials and consumables in ERP / MRP systems,

• High School Diploma/ GED – Required
• Bachelor’s degree - Preferred
• Minimum of (5) years of experience in manufacturing required with at least one year in Pouch
manufacturing required.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in scheduling, procurement, and customer or
production supervision required.
• Experience using ERP systems required.
• Minimum of (3) years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Lean Sigma Principles preferred.
