Essential Functions:
· Inspect the mold for visible damage, review last molded sample(s) for quality issues.
· Clean and service the molds per PM checklist and direct instructions.
· Use caution when assembling/disassembling to protect mold components from damage.
· Use chemicals properly, (mold cleaners, oils, greases, etc.), while servicing the molds.
· Clean the mold to remove all gas buildup and add appropriate lubricants where designated.
· Check all coolant connections for leaks/ replace all O-rings.
· Check for broken or worn parts in the mold, repair or replace.
· Acid flush cooling circuits of the molds when needed.
· Fill out proper documentation after the mold service has been completed and add status tag.
· Move, (with overhead crane, forklift, etc.), molds to varied locations.
Requirements:
· Must be able to lift and manipulate a minimum of 50 pounds repetitively and/or occasionally.
· It is essential to have good hand and eye coordination.
· Perform work primarily from a standing position as required.
· All work is performed in a manufacturing environment which may be hot/cold and requires the use of PPE at all times (safety glasses, hand protection, ear plugs, etc.), where required.
· Must have own regular hand tools
